In Learning Life – Mysteeri 24/7 the player adapts a role of a youth facing everyday challenges. Game is presented in first-person view and players are tasked to solve different issues and problems. The game has three levels: finding and moving to a new home, applying for a job or a place of study, and managing the chaos of everyday life.

 
Players can interact with the world either with VR controllers or a keyboard and mouse, move around different virtual environments and solve puzzles and perform various tasks. Although the issues presented in the game can be serious, they are presented in the game with a lighter humorous touch. 

Learning Life was created in cooperation with experts from different fields of expertise including serious games, nursing, social work, and rehabilitation. The main themes for the individual levels of the game levels were decided based on game workshops organized for the youth and professionals. 

Context experts designed the detailed content for the game in general level, and these plans were transformed and adapted to gameplay elements by the game development team. Cooperation between all the development parties was very frequent in all development phases. 

The virtual environments for the game were created by 3D modeling Tana using reference photos, drone photography, laser data of the terrain area and photogrammetry. 3D objects included different landscapes, village sites, natural environments, varying buildings, and population centers located in Tana. The game environment was developed using the Unreal Engine game and it created for PC platform.

The story for the game and other content was designed and produced in cooperation with the project staff from both the Finnish and Norwegian sides by implementing content production-related pilots, workshops, language camps. Elderly people, children and young people from the target area have also been involved in the development of the game since the beginning of the project.
